Privacy Policy

This page explains what iTech collects, why, and what we do not collect. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Last updated 21 August 2026. This policy covers itechseminyak.com and our stores in Seminyak and Ubud.

The short version

No analytics, no ad trackers

This website runs no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels and no tag manager. We do not build a profile of you and we do not sell anything about you to anyone.

No accounts, one form

You cannot register on this site. The only thing to fill in is the repair tracker on /track/, and that goes to our repair system, not to this website. Everything else runs through WhatsApp, a call, or the store.

No cookies from us

Browsing this site sets no cookies of ours. The one exception is the Google Maps panel on our homepage, explained below.

We hold what a repair needs

To repair a device we need a way to reach you and a record of the work. That is the bulk of what we keep, and it stays with us.

No promotional messages

We contact you about your repair. We do not run broadcasts, promos or mailing lists, and your number never joins one.

What this website collects

Server logs

Like any website, our hosting records each request: the IP address, the browser and device type, the page requested and the time. These logs are used to keep the site running and to investigate faults. They are not linked to any customer record.

Google Maps on the homepage

Our homepage embeds two Google Maps panels showing the stores. Loading them contacts Google, which may set its own cookies and receives your IP address. That is Google’s processing under Google’s own privacy policy, not ours. Other pages link to Google Maps rather than embedding it, so nothing loads until you click.

An emoji script

WordPress loads a small emoji-support file from wordpress.org. It sets no cookies and identifies nobody.

The repair tracker

Our /track/ page embeds a tracker from RepairDesk, the system our workshop runs on. The ticket ID and mobile number you type there go to RepairDesk so it can find your job, and loading the tracker shares your IP address with them. It appears on no other page, so nothing is sent to RepairDesk unless you open /track/.

Our Instagram feed

The homepage shows recent Instagram posts. The images are copied to our own server, so viewing them does not contact Instagram. Clicking through to Instagram does.

What we collect when you contact us

Messaging us on WhatsApp shares your phone number and profile name with us, because that is how WhatsApp works. Whatever you send — the device, the fault, photos — we keep with the conversation.

We use that to answer your enquiry and to carry out the repair you ask for. WhatsApp itself is operated by Meta, and messages travel through their service under their terms, not ours.

If you call, we have your number. If you email legal@itechseminyak.com, we have your address and message.

We do not send marketing or promotional messages. Your number is used to talk about your repair and nothing else. We do not add you to a broadcast list, and we do not pass your number to anyone who would.

What we collect when you bring in a device

Your contact details and the device

A name, a way to reach you, and the device with its reported fault. Without these we cannot return the device or tell you what we found.

The service invoice

Every repair produces an invoice recording the work, the part grade used and your warranty period. We keep it for as long as that warranty can be claimed and as long as Indonesian tax and accounting rules require.

Your passcode is your choice

Some repairs need it to test the device afterwards. You are never obliged to share it, and we will tell you what we can still verify without it. If you do share it, it is used for that repair and nothing else.

The data on your device

Please back up before any repair. Most repairs do not require erasing anything, and if a repair ever would, we tell you before it happens — never after. We do not copy, browse or retain the contents of your device.

Who else sees your information

Nobody buys it, and we do not trade it.

Your details are handled by our own staff at iTech Seminyak and iTech Ubud. Beyond that, information passes only through the services we use to operate: our web host, which stores the server logs; WhatsApp and the phone network, which carry your messages and calls; RepairDesk, which holds the repair records behind our tracker; and Google, if you load the map panels on our homepage.

We will disclose information where Indonesian law requires it — and we will tell you if that ever happens to you, unless we are prohibited from doing so.

Your choices

Ask what we hold

Message us or email and we will tell you what we have about you and your repairs.

Ask us to correct it

If a detail is wrong — a number, a name, a device record — tell us and we will fix it.

Ask us to delete it

We will delete what we are not required to keep. Invoices we must retain for warranty and tax reasons stay until those periods end.

Block the map panels

If you would rather Google saw nothing, a browser that blocks third-party frames will stop the homepage maps loading. The rest of the site works without them.
