About iTech

How iTech started
iTech began with one technician, not a shop. In 2013 our founder was repairing iPhones freelance in Jakarta, in the 3G, 3GS, 4 and 5 era, meeting customers wherever they were and often doing the repair on the spot. In 2015 the work moved to Surabaya, still freelance, still one pair of hands.
In 2017 that experience became a storefront: iTech Seminyak opened in Bali. iTech Ubud followed in 2021.
Everything is done in house
Every repair is carried out by our own technicians, in our own workshops in Seminyak and Ubud. Nothing is sent to a third party, including board-level work. When a fault sits on the logic board itself, it is diagnosed under the microscope and repaired by microsoldering here, by the same people you hand the device to.
Why customers call us straightforward
The habits from the freelance years never left. Back then every repair happened in front of the customer, so there was nowhere to hide a shortcut. That is still how we work:
- You are told what is wrong before anything is opened.
- You approve the quote before the repair starts.
- The part grade going into your device is explained first. The part grade and your warranty period are written on your invoice.
We do not claim to fix everything. If a repair would cost more than the device is worth, we will tell you. In the trade this is called beyond economical repair, and in that case we will suggest putting the money toward a replacement instead.
What we do today
Independent repair for iPhone, iPad, MacBook, Apple Watch, AirPods and Android, from screens and batteries to logic-board and liquid-damage work and data recovery. Alongside repair, both stores sell new Apple devices, selected preloved devices and accessories, and take trade-ins.
